These phones can be had for free on T-Mobile post-paid plans via 24 monthly bill credits. As of July 9th 2021, T-Mobile began running a limited time promotion on select phones. The promotion includes phones from Samsung, T-Mobile, Oneplus, and Motorola. Here’s all the information you need to know.
How It Works
T-Mobile is offering free smartphone for new lines to well qualified customers. You must activate a new line with T-Mobile on a qualifying post-pay plan, including their Magneta plans, Essentials plans, and ONE plans. Pre-paid plans are not qualified for the promotion. Cancelling your wireless service may result in the remaining balance of the phone’s price to be due, because technically the phone is being financed, even though you are receiving it at no cost over time.
What Are The Phones?
T-Mobile is making a number of phones available for this promotion. They include the Samsung Galaxy A11, Samsung Galaxy A12, T-Mobile REVVL 4, T-Mobile REVVL 4+, OnePlus Nord N200 5G, Motorola moto g play or LG Aristo 5. Here is some info on the most attractive models.
Samsung Galaxy A12
The Galaxy A12 has a solid 48 megapixel camera and excellent batter life. It comes in an attractive package with a unique matte finish. This affordable package offers good updates to Android through Samsung ongoing. The phone does not have fast charging, so you will want to allow for enough time (overnight is more than sufficient) to charge the battery. The phone’s processor is one of its Achilles heels, but the phone should be good enough for non processor-intensive tasks.
Oneplus Nord N200 5G
The Oneplus Nord N200 5G is a rare affordable phone contender with 5G connectivity, leveraging T-Mobile’s expanding 5G network in urban centers around America. Motorola moto g play

Be sure to read up on the various plans which qualify for the promotion. T-Mobile’s Essentials plans starts at just $30 per line and includes unlimited talk, text, and 50GB of premium data (which is a lot). If you want even more, the Magneta plans start at $40 per line, and also include 5GB of high speed hot spot data, and 100GB of premium phone data. If you want to attempt to supplement your normal home internet connection with a T-Mobile hotspot, the Magneta Max plan starts at $47 per line, and includes 40GB of high speed data (and then unlimited 3G speed afterward).
